Where Have I Been?

I apologize for not posting lately; the main level of my home was destroyed in hurricane Sandy.  Online time is quite limited, and my time in general is involved in the most rudimentary tasks of survival in the modern world.  My wife Helene and I … and our cat Smokie are all OK.

Bare with me … The excitement shall continue!

  1. Oh Don, I am so sorry you have suffered such a great loss. I have been in up to my eyeballs until yesterday and , although I thought of you often, knowing you were in South Amityville, I have just had time today to check your blog. Other than having to care for relatives and dealing with intermittent power outages, we are ok. If there is any way I can help, please let me know.

    1. Thank you Barbara. Kind words and warm thoughts are soothing. I am safe and well as are all of my household. There is really nothing that can be done. It's just one laborious day at a time.

I have much new writing material. I noticed today that I have no fingerprints on three fingers. All the cleaning, rubbing and working have rubbed my fingertips smooth. Today was a warm day. The past 11 have given me new ways to express feeling cold. Tonight I'm just very tired. I have been unable to write ... other than quick comments and Facebook statuses. Perhaps I'll publish a collection of them!
